Mollusks, monarchs and male zebra finches
These infographics were created to enrich stories on studies by Prairie Research Institute scientists, namely Team discovers a new invasive clam in the U.S., Report: Milkweed losses may not fully explain monarch butterfly declines and Zebra finch study finds mixed impact of early-life stress.

Renova Formation graphics
In June 2016, a team of scientists from the Prairie Research Institute—myself included—traveled to Montana to dig for fossil insects and plants in Fossil Basin. To give readers a better idea of the fossils’ age and where they came from, I created these two graphics to accompany the story, The fossils of Madison County (Montana).

The oldest fossil mushroom
When Prairie Research Institute scientists described the oldest fossil mushroom to date, I created a map to show the location and depth at which it was found. I created a second graphic to showcase where other fossil mushrooms have been found and what material they were preserved in. Both graphics are featured in the story, Scientists find world’s oldest fossil mushroom.
